Rise above the crowd and be great! This is one of the most difficult things to do in our society because we live in a world that promotes mediocrity. Our society is set up to promote mediocrity because being average is safe and comfortable. From our schools to our government, we promote being mediocre through school testing and weak government officials only following party lines. We like to be in the comfort zone and feel good about the small successes we have.
The best example of our societal standards was on Cavalry at the crucifixion of Jesus. On that Friday, three men were crucified. Two were killed for living below societal standards, and one was killed because he rose above them. When people don’t live up to or surpass what society expects and is comfortable with, they run the risk of being condemned. Jesus was condemned for rising up and delivering his message and he paid a mighty price for it on that Friday. However, whether you are Christian or not the fact remains that because he had the courage to rise above the crowd, he changed the face of the world with his message. He was triumphant in his life’s work and made the world a much better place.
Life is so much better when we stick our necks out and rise above the crowd. Most people won’t do this because they are afraid that when they stick our necks out society will chop off our heads. However, when we have PMA, we understand that sticking our necks out to rise above the crowd makes the view of the world much better and success is imminent.
Choose to rise up with the knowledge that we are born to succeed. Greatness is out there for the taking when we take bold action and persist without exception towards the predetermined goal.
