Always be ready to seize opportunities as they are presented. Live with faith, not fear and aggressively push forward towards predetermined goals. Have the courage to take risks that others would never attempt with the knowledge that you are ready to make a difference and do something productive. Make daring decisions that lead to positive action.

When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.

Steve Maraboli’s poem encourages us to be daring in our lives and seize opportunities when they arise because we expect good things and know that greatness comes to the daring and strong hearted. If we fail while daring greatly, we have still bettered ourselves and learned for the future. Failure is only temporary and it is a teaching tool that shows us there is a better way to attack.
Daring to make ourselves better teaches us to become bold and courageous. Being bold is the only way to be a good leader. Boldness in our thoughts and actions makes us stronger and more successful. People want to follow the person that moves forward with certainty.
Boldness must be accompanied by the courage to stand behind what we say and do, or we become a hypocrite. All great accomplishments come from bold thoughts and actions accompanied by the courage to follow through. This boldness and courage comes from knowing that we are born to succeed which leads us to seize opportunities when they present themselves.
